About us
Our History
The Pregnancy Resource Center was founded in Peterborough, New Hampshire in 1989 as a non-profit Christian organization. In April of 1993, the satellite office in Keene opened and the organization operated two part-time locations for ten years. To meet the changing needs of the community, Pregnancy Resource Center of the Monadnock Region united its resources in January 2005 and now serves the greater Monadnock Region from one office location at 100 Washington Street in Keene. Pregnancy Resource Center is funded by the generous contributions of local organizations and individuals and receives no government funding.
Pregnancy Resource Center is affiliated with a network of approximately 1100 Care Net Pregnancy Centers located throughout the USA.
Our Mission
The Pregnancy Resource Center of the Monadnock Region seeks to help pregnant women and their partners understand the choices available when faced with an unplanned pregnancy. We educate and inform about abortion, adoption, and the joys of parenting, empowering you to make informed decisions concerning the outcome of your pregnancy.
The Center seeks to provide medically accurate information by way of pregnancy tests and ultrasound scans. Our client advocates and staff provide spiritual and emotional support to any individual faced with the circumstances and choices surrounding an unexpected pregnancy. The Center will also provide material assistance for baby and mother who requests our services during their pregnancy.
The Center places value upon all human life from the very moment of conception. Each man and woman is responsible for his/her own decision and the Center seeks to support him/her and any other individual(s) involved in managing the consequences of the choice.
The Center is a Christian response to the needs of women and their partners confronted with pregnancy and the decisions surrounding it. We are always striving to be compassionate and respectful when sharing the love and truth of Jesus Christ, never discriminating because of race, creed, color, natural origin, age, marital status—or the choice that each woman makes.

Our Services
The Pregnancy Resource Center offers a variety of FREE services to women and their significant others facing an unplanned pregnancy. Please contact us for more information about our services or you can complete our online form to request an appointment.
Pregnancy and Ultrasound Testing
Our office provides urine testing for pregnancy and confirmation of pregnancy by limited obstetrical ultrasound. Pregnancy tests can be done by appointment or walk-in as soon as you’ve missed your period. Once your test is positive for pregnancy, we can provide you with an ultrasound scan to confirm your pregnancy, determine if the pregnancy is viable, and obtain a more accurate age of the embryo. This could be done 5-14 weeks after the first day of your last menstrual period.

Our limited OB ultrasound is performed by a licensed RN and is done discretely and confidentially with respect and compassion for our clients.
Options Counseling
If you’re facing an unplanned pregnancy, you’re not alone. Each year, millions of women of all ages are faced with a similar decision about how to handle an unplanned pregnancy. Just remember that you have options! You could choose to parent your child and participate in parenting education, earning baby and maternity items from our boutique. If you’re concerned about the health risks and emotional consequences associated with abortion but aren’t ready to raise a child, we could help you develop an adoption plan, selecting a loving family for your newborn. Although Pregnancy Resource Center is not an adoption agency, we have information about adoption that may help you decide if adoption is right for you and can give you information about organizations that arrange adoptions.
Training in Parenting Series (T.I.P.S)
We offer mentored lessons designed to help the 1) first-time parent or couple through the process of pregnancy, fetal development and care of the newborn or 2) parent with a child aged 2-12 encourage good behavior and deal with negative behavior. The instructors use a variety of interactive teaching methods, including DVD’s, discussion, and handouts. Best of all, by participating in these educational programs you can gain access to our Baby Boutique and earn coupons to save for a a new car seat, stroller or other large item!
Abortion Recovery Assistance (A.R.A)
Has a past abortion left you hurting? If you or your partner has gone through an abortion experience recently or even years ago, you may often feel a burden that just won’t go away. In addition to possible physical problems, deeply rooted guilt associated with a past abortion can manifest itself through a myriad of seemingly unrelated emotional symptoms. We’re here to help! We offer individuals, couples and groups Abortion Recovery Assistance. This service is provided by appointment only so please contact us if you’re interested.
Material Assistance
Our baby boutique is filled with both new and lightly-used supplies for both mom and baby. Baby clothes, diapers, blankets, formula, maternity supplies & more. Clients may schedule a one-time boutique visit to obtain small items and/or may earn "points" (through parenting classes, etc.) with which to obtain larger items such as baby furniture, car seats, or strollers.
